Get to know our most recent launch - 100% vegan, with a Natural Index over 90%, all belonging to Laranjinha and made with love from portuguese Oranges. We're also introducing our firsts vegan Lip Balm and Body Milk, starring two new vegetal ingredients: carnauba wax and candelilla wax.

Carnauba Wax

Carnauba wax is a natural, plant-based wax that is derived from the leaves of the Copernicia prunifera, a species of palm tree that is native to Brazil. This wax is known for its hard, glossy finish and is commonly used in a variety of beauty products.

And what are the advantages of this vegetable beeswax alternative?

Our Laranjinha Energizing Body Milk is our first vegan body milk! The use of carnauba wax, instead of bee wax, makes a more fluid body milk while also decreasing absorbtion time. It features over 90% natural ingredients.

Candellila Wax

Candellila wax is a plant-based wax that is derived from the leaves of the small, shrubby Euphorbia cerifera plant. It is commonly used in a variety of beauty and personal care products, such as lip balms, lotions, and creams.

One of the main advantages of candellila wax is that it is a vegan alternative to beeswax, which is commonly used in beauty products. Candellila wax also holds many similar properties as carnauba wax.

1. Consistency: Candellila wax is a hard wax that is known for its ability to provide a smooth, creamy consistency in beauty products. 

2. Film-forming properties: Like carnauba wax, candellila wax also forms a protective film on the skin, which helps to lock in moisture and prevent water loss.

3. Non-irritating: Candellila wax is considered non-irritating and safe for sensitive skin, making it a popular choice for use in beauty products.

4. Glossy finish: Candellila wax gives a glossy finish to lipsticks and lip balms which makes them look more attractive and appealing.

6. Water resistant: Candellila wax has water-resistant properties, which helps to protect the skin from water damage.

Candellila wax is being used to replace Bee Wax to create our first vegan lip balm, with over 99% natural ingredients: the Laranjinha Lip Balm. Another plus: the candellila wax provides an orange color to the balm, rhyming with its name!

And last, but not the least, let's not forget about the fruit that inspired this collection. All Laranjinha products include extracts of hand picked portuguese Oranges, making this collection a refreshing choice!
